About — Founder
Aaron Whitfield

I'm Aaron Whitfield, founder of Laser AI. I help AI founders acquire the domains that define their brand — premium .ai, word-AI .com, and AI-word .com names — through advisory, sourcing, and brokerage.
For more than 15 years I've been buying, selling, and brokering domains across every market cycle. That tenure shows up where it matters: calibrated valuations, warm relationships with portfolio holders, and the patience to negotiate names that aren't publicly for sale.
Based in San Francisco, working with founders worldwide. If you're hunting a name, get in touch.
01 — Story
How Laser AI started
I bought my first domain at 16 and never stopped. What started as a hobby — flipping LLL .com and one-word names — turned into a 15-year education in how the secondary market actually clears. LLL .com, one-word .com, short domains, and brandables — I've transacted in every tier.
When the AI wave broke in 2022, the .ai market changed overnight. Names that cleared for $5K were suddenly mid-six-figure assets, and founders had no map. I built Laser AI to be that map — half advisor, half operator — covering everything from first-time registration to eight-figure brand acquisitions.

03 — Beliefs
What I believe about names
- A great name compounds. It shortens every podcast intro, every press cycle, every paid ad — forever. See why .ai is expensive.
- The TLD matters less than founders think. Pick the one that fits your story. .ai vs .com breaks it down.
- Appraisal tools lie. GoDaddy and Estibot underprice premium .ai by 80–95%. Read the appraisal guide.
- The best names aren't listed. They live in portfolios that never advertise. That's why where you buy matters as much as what you buy.
